Dog Grooming Assistant Course

Turn Your Love of Dogs Into the Start of a Rewarding Career

Have you always loved dogs and dreamed of working with them every day?

Our Dog Grooming Assistant Course is designed to give you the knowledge, practical skills and confidence you need to take your first step into the professional dog grooming industry.

Whether you're looking for a complete career change, want to turn your passion for dogs into a profession, or simply want to develop professional grooming skills, this course provides the ideal starting point.

You don't need to be an experienced groomer to get started. With the right attitude, patience and commitment to learning, you can develop the skills needed to become a confident and capable Dog Grooming Assistant.

Start Building Your Future in Dog Grooming

Dog grooming is more than simply bathing and brushing dogs. A professional groomer needs to understand canine behaviour, coat types, grooming equipment, health and safety, salon procedures and how to provide a safe, calm and professional experience for every dog.

Throughout the course, you will develop a strong foundation of practical grooming skills and professional knowledge, helping you feel prepared to enter the industry with greater confidence.

You will learn how to work safely and professionally around dogs while developing the skills required to support the day-to-day operation of a professional grooming environment.

Where Could Your Qualification Take You?

Once you have completed your training, you can begin exploring opportunities within the growing pet care and grooming industry.

Dog Grooming Assistants may find opportunities within:

• Professional dog grooming salons
• Mobile grooming businesses
• Independent grooming businesses
• Pet care and grooming establishments
• Larger grooming businesses and franchises

Your qualification can also provide the foundation for further professional development, allowing you to continue building your skills and progress towards becoming a professional Dog Grooming Stylist.

Your Journey Doesn't Have to Stop Here

For those who want to take their grooming career further, the Dog Grooming Assistant Course provides an excellent foundation for progressing onto our Dog Grooming Stylist Course.

Course Duration

Guideline Duration: 10 Working Days

Our Dog Grooming Assistant Course has a guideline duration of 10 working days, giving you an intensive and focused introduction to professional dog grooming.

However, learning isn't a race.

The 10-working-day duration is a guideline rather than a fixed deadline. Every learner is different, and some students may require additional time to develop their practical skills, knowledge and confidence to the required standard.

You will never be expected to rush your learning simply to meet a set timeframe.

Our focus is on helping you become confident, competent and ready to take your next step — not simply completing a course as quickly as possible.
